01Who this agreement is between

This is an agreement between you and DeepMinds Media, the maker of Drive Atlas ("we"). Contact: support@driveatlas.app. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record; their own terms cover the payment itself, and we never see your card details.

02Your license

• Free version: you may use Drive Atlas with up to 2 cataloged drives, with every feature, forever, at no cost.
• Paid license: a one-time purchase licenses your studio: you and the people who work with you, on the machines your studio uses, with no drive limit. One studio, one license. A separate studio, even a friendly one, needs its own.
• Your license key carries a name and verifies offline, inside the app. Recommending the app is welcome; the key itself stays within your studio and may not be published or resold.
• The license check may not be removed, disabled, or worked around, and the app may not be reverse engineered except where the law says we can't restrict that.
• This is a license, not a sale of the software itself. Everything about Drive Atlas stays ours; everything in your catalog stays yours.

03Updates

All future updates are included, free, forever. We ship about two a year, and the app will never nag you to install them, because it contains no updater and no version check. We are not obligated to release updates, add features, or support any particular hardware or OS version forever. If you never update, your copy keeps working as it is.

04Your data, your responsibility

Drive Atlas is built to be careful with your files. It deletes only when you click delete, only to the Recycle Bin, and only after copies are verified byte for byte. Backups are hashed on both sides. Nothing happens automatically.

And still: drives fail, software has bugs, and no tool is perfect, including this one. You are responsible for keeping independent backups of anything you cannot afford to lose, and for double-checking before you empty a Recycle Bin. Drive Atlas gives you information and suggestions; the decisions, and the results of those decisions, are yours.

05No warranty

Drive Atlas is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not promise the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will catch every duplicate, every failing drive, or every gap in your backups. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you; where that is the case, it applies to the fullest extent the law allows.

06Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to Drive Atlas is capped at the amount you paid for your license (for the free version, that is zero). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, or the cost of recovery services, even if we were told such damages were possible. Some jurisdictions limit how far liability can be excluded, so parts of this may not apply to you.

07Refunds

14 days from purchase, full refund, no questions. Email support@driveatlas.app or use the Lemon Squeezy receipt link. After a refund your license key stops being valid and you should delete your copies of the paid version.

08Privacy

The app makes zero network connections; there is no code in it for phoning home, telemetry, or sync, so it has no way to send us anything. Your catalog is a local file on your machine. It reads the bytes of your files only in two situations you start yourself: proving two copies are identical, and building thumbnails on a drive you chose. Nothing is interpreted, recognized, or tagged, and nothing leaves your machine. The only personal data we ever hold is the email address your license key was sent to.

09Ending this agreement

If you break these terms in a way that matters, mostly meaning sharing keys or bypassing the license check, your license ends and you should stop using the paid version. Sections 04, 05, and 06 survive, since they describe things that were true while you used it.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future versions of Drive Atlas. The terms that shipped with, or were current when you bought, your version keep applying to your version. We will not retroactively take away something you paid for.
